DEAPOOL SNAIL



My wife saw a picture of a snail online that some else had made.  So she asked me if I could make one for her. So here is the pattern for the one that I made my wife.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn:  White, red and black
G crochet hook
Craft foam:  White and black
Craft glue
Polyester Fiberfill
Tapestry needle

BODY
Starting at the head and stuffing as you go.
Rd 1:  With red, ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (5)
Rd 2:  2 sc in each sc around.  (10)
Rd 3:  (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (15)
Rd 4:  (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (20)
Rd 5:  (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (25)
Rd 6:  sc in each sc around.  (25)
Rds 7-11:  sc in each sc around referring to graph below for color changes.  (25)


Rd 12:  sc in each sc around.  (25)
Rd 13:  (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (20)
Rd 14:  (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (15)
Rds 15-17:  sc in each sc around.  Change to black after Rd 17.  (15)
Rd 18:  sc in each sc around.  Change to red.  (15) 
Rds 19-35:  sc in each sc around.  Change to black after Rd 35.  (15)
Rd 36:  sc in each sc around.  Change to red.  (15)
Rds 37-44:  sc in each sc around.  Change to black after Rd 44.  (15)
Rds 45-61:  sc in each sc around.  Change to red after Rd 61.  (15)
Rds 62-70:  sc in each sc around.  Change to black after Rd 70.  (15)
Rds 71-85:  sc in each sc around.  Change to red after Rd 85.  (15)
Rds 86-93:  sc in each sc around.  Change to black after Rd 93.  (15)
Rds 94-103:  sc in each sc around. Change to red after Rd 103.  (15)
Rds 104-111:  sc in each sc around.  Change to black after Rd 111.  (15)
Rds 112-121:  sc in each sc around.  Change to red after Rd 121.  (15)
Rds 122-129:  sc in each sc around.  (15)
Rw 130:  Fold in half and working though both thicknesses, sc in next 7 sc.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

Roll tail to form snail’s shell and secure.

SWORDS (MAKE 2)
Make two swords out of craft foam.  Cut blades out of white craft foam and handles out of black craft foam.  Glue in crossed pattern on front of shell.

Little SpongeBob Squarepants



This is one of my wife's favorite cartoon characters.  I originally made a larger version but she wanted one that she could put in her pocket.

MATERIALS:
Red Heart Yarn:  yellow, gold, black, pink, red, white, brown and blue
E Crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

BODY PIECES:
Follow graphs below for body pieces of SpongeBob Squarepants.

Use picture for backstitching.


BOTTOM
Rw 1:  With brown, ch 16, sc in second ch from hook, sc n each ch across.  (15)
Rws 2-5:  Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (15)
Finish off.

ARMS (MAKE 2)
Stuff as you go.
Rd 1:  With yellow, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (6)
Rds 2-3:  sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 4:  ch 2, sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 5:  sc in each ch and sc around. (8)
Rd 6:  (sc2tog) around. (4)
Rds 7-10:  sc in each sc around, changing to white at end of Rd 10. (4)
Rd 11:  2 sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 12:  sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rd 13:  (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (6)
Rd 14:  (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail for sewing.  Sew to side piece of body just above pants.

LEGS (MAKE 2)
Stuff as you go.
Rd 1:  With black, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (6)
Rds 2-3:  sc in each sc around.  (6)
Rd 4:  sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc.  (5)
NOW WORKING IN ROWS
Rw 5:  sc in next 2 sc.  (2)
Rw 6:  ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc.  (2)
WORKING IN ROUNDS AGAIN
Rd 7:  ch 1, sc in the side Rows 5 and 6, sc in each unworked sc of Rd 4,  sc in side of Rows 5 and 6, sc2tog, slip st in first sc.  (8)
Rd 8:  ch 1, turn; (sc2tog) around, changing to white at end of round.  (4)
Rds 9-10:  sc in each sc around, changing to red after Rd 10.  (4)
Rd 11:  sc in each sc around, changing to blue after round.  (4)
Rd 12:  sc in each sc around, changing to yellow after round.  (4)
Rds 13-16:  sc in each sc around, changing to brown after Rd 16.  (4)
Rd 17:  3 sc in each around.  (12)
Rd 18:  sc in each sc around.  (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail to sew to BOTTOM.  Sew to BOTTOM
